Liz started Bloom in 2008 where she lives with her family in the heart of the Hudson Valley. The company was founded upon her strong passion for designing landscapes that nurture a deeper connection between people and nature. Liz’s ultimate goal is to help people get the most out of their surrounding landscape while promoting healthy, sustainable practices. Liz’s skills and expertise stem from over fifteen years of experience in landscape design, organic agriculture, permaculture, and ornamental gardening. She studied Landscape Design at the New York Botanical Garden and always stays current with the latest in landscaping trends. Liz holds a B.S. in Earth Systems Science from UMASS Amherst and certificates from Permaculture Design at La’akea, Hawaii as well as The Center for Agroecology & Sustainable Food Systems at University of California Santa Cruz. Her extensive background knowledge allows her to approach each garden design with an open mind and thoughtful vision, resulting in unique landscapes for every client.
